Ryken's 2nd Birthday Weekend: Mommy Milkshake Marathon

The Mommy Milkshake Marathon (MMM) was held last August 14, 2011 at Bonifacio Global City (BGC).  It's a yearly activity organized by Mommy Mundo to celebrate World Breastfeeding Month.  We chose to join the run to cap off Ryken's birthday weekend.  :)

MMM was fun and well-organized.  My mom, Ryken, and I participated in the 3k while hubby joined the 5k.  Ryken wasn't in the mood on the way to BGC because we woke him up early, but he lightened up when we arrived at the starting line and he saw other kids there.  We also brought Ryken's bike but since its mechanism for easy maneuvering was broken, we had to steer the handlebars manually.  This was tiring and resulted to us finishing late in the race.  But it's alright since MMM was more of a family bonding activity and a no-pressure race.

I liked the pink finish line ribbon :)

yey, congrats Ryken!
The goody bags had parenting magazines, a banana, notebooks, a diaper, bubble baths, flavoring for fried rice, and a lot more.  We were given free breakfast at Mercato Centrale.  Food was good.  There was also a short program and an exhibit to promote breastfeeding.

Hubby won 2nd place in the 5k run and was given a special prize (a pack of EQ Newborn diaper and sippy cup).  Yey!  Galing! :)  We changed clothes in Starbucks (oo, nakidayo pa kami rito, hehe) and stayed a bit then we proceeded to Christ the King-Greenmeadows to hear mass.

MMM won our hearts and we plan to make this part of Ryken's birthday tradition. :)
