Performance Evaluation of Production Team (Supplier Ratings) for the Movie "Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin" (Our Wedding)

SEPTEMBER 20, 2008, Saturday, 2:45 PM
*As rated by the Bigornia-Martinez Evaluation Board
**Photos courtesy of Al's family, Parkershot Photography, and my dear friend/lomographer Kat Constantino

A - Outstanding
B - Highly Satisfactory
C - Satisfactory
*with a plus (+) or minus (-) if necessary. hahaha! Parang ratings ito sa conduct nung grade school at high school ako ah. teehee!

1) Church - Our Lady of Consolation Parish
Contact Person: Ms. Earlie and Tita Shirley
Rating: B+

Napakaganda talaga ng simbahang ito. :) Ms. Earlie and Tita Shirley were very helpful and accommodating during the preps. The choir was also good. Magaling yung soprano nila who sang a duet with our friend, The Prayer ata yun, hehe. Nalungkot lang ako kasi pinagmamadali na kami sa pictorials kaya wala kaming picture with the maids of honor and best men. They said mahaba raw kasi ang homily ni Fr. Mon at overtime na kami. Sa akin naman, would 10 or 15 seconds matter eh yun na lang ang kulang. May kasunod kaming wedding that time kasi (4:30pm sila, kami 2:45pm). Sigh. Eh minsan ka lang ikakasal.. :(

2) Priest - Fr. Ramon Ma. L. Bautista, SJ
Rating: A+

We met Fr. Mon through my college friend, Jason, who's now a novice in the Society of Jesus. Napakabait ni Fr. Mon at gustong-gusto ko ang homily nya during the wedding mass. He said that for our relationship to last and to remain strong, we should always AFFIRM each other. Affirmation can be done by: 1) Communication, 2) Forgiveness, and 3) Gifting - giving gifts to each other, not necessarily material gifts. We're really happy that he officiated our wedding mass. :)

3) Reception - Bulwagang Recoletos (beside the Parish)
Contact Person: Sir William or Sir Rod
Rating: A

I love the "old-feel" of the venue! They handle reservations for Recoletos, in coordination with the head priest, and they are very accommodating and patient with our inquiries.

food tasting with eloquente

We finally had our food tasting with eloquente last August 9. :) Masarap yung food! Heto yung mga sinerve sa amin na part ng aming menu for the reception:
1. Grilled Blue Marlin Steak (sarap! ito favorite ko, hehe..)
2. Beef Sirloin with Mushroom Sauce
3. Broccoli and Mushroom Casserole
4. Pork Spareribs with Hickory Sauce
5. Chicken Garlic Salpicao

After our food tasting, we went to OLCP to submit our edited baptismal records. May wedding nga that time and reception nila sa Recoletos din. Of course, I took pictures of the area with my Holga 135BC. yebah! We asked Sir Rod also kung may mahihiram kaming red stuncheon for the reception sa museum nila. Buti na lang meron! (kahit na medyo oldie na ang dating kasi siguro maalikabok at kahoy ang kinakabitan instead of steel, hehehe..). Oks na rin yung nakita namin, just for the effect lang naman of a movie premier night.

finally, we have a caterer!

when we started our wedding preps, our first choice of venue was blue gardens in commonwealth, qc. there we had food tasting with delica catering (1st visit) and lina vitan (2nd visit) catering. eloquente catering was just setting-up the 1st time we went there so we weren't able to taste the food. we liked delica, food was good.  lina vitan wasn't really okay. however, my mom suggested to scout for other churches/venues when she had the chance to see the place. so, we looked for other options (St. Raphael Parish in Don Antonio and Our Lady of Remedies Church in Don Enrique) then we found Our Lady of Consolation Parish. until the time that we have booked 3 other suppliers (see my 1st entry), we still haven't found our caterer. We were eyeing henry's catering because my mom knows the owner and she's the wedding godmother of one of the staff, so we were thinking we're going to get a good package. however, the price they quoted for our chosen menu was a bit high so we had to look for another caterer. sir loi recommended queensland and budget-wise, the menu was really affordable! my mom, though, had reservations on booking this caterer because she said that though it offers low rates, the quality may not be ok. so we had an ocular of queensland's set-up when they had a wedding reception at bulwagang recoletos. the judgment? Well, we found it "different". I told al that we have to look for another caterer. We then visited the office of eloquente catering in yale st., cubao, qc. And at last, we found our caterer! :) sayang nga, they were part of the bridal fair in gazebo royale last march 9 (where we met jr and jhoana sebastian of parker shot photography), we could've gotten a good package. but inspite of that, we still think that they gave us a good offer. :) thanks to ms. bheng, our account executive (AE). exciting na talaga ito!
